I had just noticed I was having an ant problem. The other day I saw an uncomfortable amount of ants scurrying in, and out of the cracks in my living room windowsill. I knew I had to do something, so I sprayed the border of the bottom of my window. For awhile it worked. Until this morning I noticed that there was still one lone ant that made it, and he was tip toeing along the edge of the wood frame. I immediately grabbed my bottle of homemade insectide, and began spraying the cavitiy where the window usually rested between the two frames. I super soaked the whole length of the window, as the ant took off running. I tried to spray him, but kept missing. Then when I finally hit my target, he just began to scramble and go even harder. He started climbing the screen that lined the window. I sprayed him with shot after shot of insectide, but he was unstoppable. The ant held on to the tiny woven wire for dear life. When he made his way quickly back to the gap between the window, he swam to safety through the chemicals, and took off running down the wood again!

So I decided to take matters directly into my own hands. I balled up some paper towel nearby and smashed the ant into the wood. When I turned over the paper towel, he was nestled in it safely, battered, but still fighting for his life.

He was on his back, but managed to use his legs to twist to his side, and limped back up to his feet. I tried to smash him between the paper towel and the wood again, and he just kept twitching and dragging himself with all the strength he had left. That ant would not give up.

I believe I learned something about myself in that moment, I was like that ant. God showed me that In that situation, thats how the enemy moves. He tries his hardest to take us out, to drown us in our own situations, and emotions until we break. He is relentless in His pursuit. However like that ant, no matter how many times I was hit, knocked down, smashed up or drowned, I never gave up. God gave me the strength to survive all those things, and like the devil, I‘am relentless in my pursuit of the Lord. I remember thinking “wow, this has got to be like some super bionic ant or something“, seriously. Because He wouldn’t die. And neither will I. Gods word promised me ”I shall live and not die” that I have a full life to live. He promised me “the blesssings of the Lord make rich and add no sorrow”.

If we, like that ant, refuse to give up, especially when it comes to waiting on God, I believe we can overcome anything, in order to live our best life.....
